Holy Family Catholic School

As Holy Family, we learn, believe and seek to make the right choices, as God's children

  2. Starting School Well

Starting School Well

Here at Holy Family, we want to ensure that our children get a strong start in life.  We are committed to support our children's speech and language, social awareness, confidence and group interaction skills, and to prepare them as best we can for starting primary education.  We want to prepare our children to grow up as successful lifelong learners and citizens who make a strong and valued contribution to society.

We strongly believe in working in partnership with parents.  We fully acknowledge that it is the parent who knows their child best, and unless there is a sharing of information between ourselves and parents, the child's learning needs will be neither fully understood nor, met.  In Early Years we will take every opportunity to talk to parents about their child's learning both at parent meetings, but also informally at the start and end of each day.

We have set out some supporting documentation (below) to assist parents in supporting us in giving our children the best start in education.
